Worcester Cathedral Pancake Race

Nearly every year since 2008, I've documented the Shrove Tuesday pancake race at Worcester Cathedral through photos or videos. In this event, two teams of choristers run a relay around the cloisters, flipping pancakes and navigating obstacles. The video above was praised by ITV Central news presenters, giving special mention to the filmmaker!

I attempt to follow the action with a handheld gimbal, but I also set up several static cameras around the cloisters to capture different angles. Additionally, I attach a GoPro to the frying pan itself, which always results in fantastic footage!
The idea of using a GoPro first came to me in 2017 when I strapped it to the Cathedral Dean to film the final lap. This video went viral, reaching nearly a million views online and airing on news channels worldwide. I haven't quite achieved that level of virality since! Watch the now infamous video below.
